Ohio Dealership Association Drives Franchise Law Legislation
Dealer rights and manufacturer duties are being updated in Ohio, and the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association (OADA) is leading the way on behalf of dealers across the state. But they need your help. The Ohio Senate has passed OADA-backed Ohio Franchise Legislation, and the House debate is next.
The bill will help dealers in the following areas in Ohio’s Motor Vehicle Dealer Franchise Law:
- Warranty Reimbursement at Retail
- Sales Effectiveness
- Successorship
- Data Privacy
- Vehicle Export Policy
- Facility Renovation Timelines and Vendor Choice
You can read the details for each of the above bullet points in OADA’s news release, and you can read the entirety of Senate Bill 242. Contact your House Representative today and urge them to support Senate Bill 242.
Even if you’re not in Ohio, it’s important that you keep up to date on legislation that may affect your dealership. Your state association is a great place to start.
